Pineapple upside down cake is a classic cake recipe that we all love so much.
I remember growing up and walking into the kitchen as my mother was baking this delicious pineapple upside down cake.
Ahhh!! the aroma of this delicious cake, takes me back in time!
This cake is super easy to make and it takes little to no
Time to make.
My recipe for this cake is completely from scratch.
I am not using any boxed mixture for this cake, as I believe that the Art of making a cake is making it all from scratch.
There is no art or joy or art of baking from any boxed cake mixes!
Ingredients for the bottom of the cake with the pineapple:
1/2 Cup light brown sugar
1/4 Cup melted butter
Pineapple slices to cover the bottom of your baking pan
Cherries to go inside the pineapple rings
Ingredients for the cake batter:
3/4 Cup white sugar
1/2 cup melted butter
2 whole eggs
1 3/4 Cup of flour
1 tsp. Baking powder
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/2 Cup Pineapple juice (Use the one from the canned pineapples)
**Note**
You must flip this cake into a platter as soon as it comes out of the
Oven. If you let it cool down the fruits can stay stuck at the bottom
Of the baking pan.
